“Alaska’s Certified Weed-Free Gravel Program: What contractors need to know”

Kenai Soil & Water Conservation District invites pit operators, road builders and interested agency personnel to a FREE 1-hour webinar, “Alaska’s Certified Weed-Free Gravel Program: What gravel and road contractors need to know.” The webinar will be held Tuesday, Mar. 23, 2021, 9 to 10 am via Zoom.

Alaska’s Certified Weed-Free Gravel Program is a voluntary inspection program under the purview of Alaska DNR. The purpose of the program is to increase the availability of weed-free products in order to prevent the spread of invasive weeds and protect fish and wildlife habitat.  This webinar will the cover the certification process through the eyes of the inspector and the gravel pit operator, as well as the history and future demand for the program on the Kenai Peninsula.
